No. You only need access to your domain's DNS settings at your registrar. The redirect, the SSL certificate and the statistics all run on our servers.

Not if it is a permanent 301 redirect — that is the recommended way to move a site or merge domains, and it passes link value to the target. Use path rules to send old URLs to the matching new pages instead of everything to the homepage.

Usually minutes after you change the DNS record, but DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to spread. We check automatically, issue the SSL certificate and email you once the domain is live.
